The game's development name was 'Shadow Strike'. Michael Ironside returned to voice Sam Fisher while Dennis Haysbert voiced Irving Lambert. They also took it upon themselves to create multiplayer for the game. Shanghai also made a small gameplay change where a player could choose from multiple paths to take instead of a single path every playthrough. The game's main focus was improving lighting effects.
